Bull Shoals Dam Overlook

Bull Shoals Dam overlook is on the north side of Bull Shoals Dam. There is room for you to park and view the dam from the lakeside. Behind you up on a hill just across the highway is the James Gaston Visitor Center. Check out the visitor center to learn more about the White River system, Bull Shoals Dam, and the Upper White River in particular.

Be sure and check out our article on Bull Shoals Lake to learn about recreational opportunities all along the lake.

We also have individual pages for some access points around the lake. Check out the pages for CCC Access, Tucker Hollow Park and Marina, Frost Point Access, Highway 125 recreation area and marina, and the Peel Ferry.

Since there are tons of fishing opportunities in the area, be sure and get your Arkansas fishing license and trout permit before you go. You’ll be sorry if you don’t when you see all those people pulling in the trout.

There are numerous access points for trout fishermen along the river.
