Kyles Landing

Kyles Landing is a tent-only campground and canoe launch on the Buffalo River. The campsites are on a first-come-first-serve basis. They are designated as tent-only campsites due to the road which you must take to get to the campground. The road is very steep and narrow. At times, it has been closed for extended periods due to landslides that damaged the road. It is not recommended for passenger cars, especially in wet weather.

This is a primitive campground. There are no campsites with electricity provided. There are latrine-type toilets and water available from March 15-November 14.

The Indian Creek Trail to the Eye of the Needle is located at Kyles Landing. See photos and a virtual tour of the trail in our article on The Indian Creek Trail.

This is a popular stop when floating the upper Buffalo River. Many of the multi-day floats people do on the river will make is a stop along the route.

Learn more about camping, floating, and other recreational activities in the Buffalo River National Park by visiting the National Park Service Buffalo River website. The website also has information on river levels and trail/site closures that might impact your visit to the park.
