DIY Scouring Paste

This video shows you how to make a really simple and easy DIY scouring paste to use on stovetops, counters, and all around the kitchen. I show you how I used it to remove baked-on greasy rings around the burners on my flat stovetop. It works as well as expensive stovetop cleaners you buy at the supermarket.

Recipe for DIY Scouring Paste

Simple 3 Ingredient Recipe

Instructions

Heat water in the microwave or on the stovetop until hot. Place baking soda and dishwashing liquid in a glass bowl. Add water slowly until you achieve a paste-like consistency. Spoon onto the area you need to clean and scrub lightly.

This DIY scouring paste uses baking soda as a mild scouring agent. The Dawn dishwashing liquid is used to break down grease, so it can be removed.

Useful for many greasy jobs around the kitchen where you need a little extra scrubbing power.

Using these two ingredients with water will save you a ton of money over buying scrubbing paste from the supermarket. This paste is just as effective, with the added benefit of being made from totally biodegradable ingredients.

Not only will you save money but you will be doing your part to help the environment and live in a more environmentally friendly way.
