Homemade DIY Bath Bombs

The video above shows you step by step how to make your own homemade DIY bath bombs.

Bath bombs are extremely popular right now. They allow you to have a relaxing spa experience in your own home.

These bath bombs are easily made with all natural ingredients. They include our soothing and relaxing Lavender Essential Oil.

Lavender essential oil has soothing, relaxing and calming effects. If you are having trouble sleeping due to stress, drop one of these in the bath, light some candles and breath in the relaxing aroma of the Lavender as your body relaxes and your skin receives a moisturizing treatment from the Sweet Almond Oil.

You can substitute any of your favorite essential oils and carrier oils when you make these, so have fun and experiment.

The video shows a really easy way to keep them fresh without spending a ton of money. But you can get creative and make some decorative containers to keep your bath bombs fresh too.

This is a great project for the kids to help out with. You can make them fun for the children by adding some food coloring or powdered soap coloring to the mix for a fun bath time treat for them too.

Please remember that you are using a carrier oil in this recipe so they can make the tub slippery. Use nonslip stickers on the bottom of the tub if you are worried about slipping.

Here is the recipe for Homemade DIY Bath Bombs:

  1. 1 Cup Baking Soda
  2. 1/2 Cup Citric Acid
  3. 1/2 Cup Corn Starch (or Arrowroot Powder)
  4. 1/2 Cup Epsom Salts
  5. 1 Tbsp Water
  6. 2 Tbsp Sweet Almond Oil (or carrier oil of your choice)
  7. 20 drops Lavender essential oil (or essential oil of your choice)
  8. 5 drops food coloring (optional)
  9. Molds ( you can use ice trays or purchase the round molds used in the video at this link)

Mix the dry ingredients in a glass bowl. Mix the wet ingredients in a smaller glass bowl. SLOWLY add the wet ingredient mixture to the dry ingredients until the mixture has the consistency of wet sand. Place into molds and let dry overnight.

Note: If using ice trays as a mold you want to cover the trays with plastic wrap to prevent the essential oils from evaporating as they dry.
